Resource Centre

The Catholic Resource Centre is a multi-media education library funded by the Catholic Education Office, Diocese of Bathurst, NSW. 

The centre specialises in, but is not restricted to, Religious Education, Christian Formation and Special Education. 

The collection includes resources for Indigenous Education, Australian Church History, World Religions, Social Issues, Personal Development, Values Education and more. 

The centre caters especially to staff of diocesan schools and tertiary students.

Core services available from the centre are: 

  • Lending Collection of print and media resources (DVDs, CDs, games, pictures, books, journals, web resources);
  • Reference and Information Services networked with other libraries throughout Australia;
  • Previewing facilities;
  • Small group work/meeting area;
  • Research;
  • Referencing;
  • Digital and Database Search Skill support (individualised help available);
  • In-centre Wi-Fi access for member clients.

Operating hours

Standard hours during NSW school terms:
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday: 9am – noon & 1pm – 5pm
Tuesday: 2pm – 5pm

The Centre may be closed during standard hours, so it is recommended to telephone in advance to ensure staff availability if coming from a distance.

Closed weekends, public holidays and other times as advised.

Open during school holidays, but hours may vary.

The centre closes for a 3-4 week period each year prior to Christmas Eve and reopens within a week before the new school year.
